The scoreline positions have also been adjusted for improved face visibility. ■Exceptional turf interaction (Half-moon sole design)... Normally, iron shots are hit with a hand-forward position, and this tendency tends to be stronger, especially with shorter clubs (hitting with a more upright grip). This naturally reduces the bounce angle (making it less effective), making it easier for the leading edge to dig into the ground. By varying the width of the leading edge shaping on the sole for each club number, it is now possible to make stable ball contact with all clubs, where the leading edge is less likely to dig in, and with excellent turf interaction.
■Forgiving soft feel even on mishits... The gradient face design, which gradually thickens the face towards the sole, achieves a lower center of gravity and thicker face at impact. In addition, the number and placement of grooves on the back of the face are optimized for each club number, making it easier to achieve the performance that each club is aiming for, such as distance and forgiveness.
