The long-awaited release of four models previously only available on tour is here. Since their debut this spring, the "TRI-BEAM Putter" has become a huge hit both on the Japanese tour and in the marketplace. The four models—#1CS, #7CS, TWELVE, and TWELVE CS—are now available exclusively to pros. Their most distinctive feature, of course, is the innovative triangular-shaped racket hosel. This provides more support for the head than conventional models, reducing wobble on off-center hits and ensuring the ball rolls accurately and accurately from the intended line and distance. The sole also features approximately 15g of weighting at the toe and heel, closer to the face. The high moment of inertia and shallow center of gravity provide stroke stability and ball speed control. [FEATURES & BENEFITS] ■ Three center-shaft models have been added to the lineup. These new models are the four previously only available on tour. All three models feature STROKE LAB shafts: the #1CS, which features a conventional blade with a center shaft; the #7CS, which features a popular horn-shaped design with a center shaft; the TWELVE, a new mallet shape introduced with the WHITE HOT VERSA putter; and the TWELVE CS, which combines the TWELVE with a center shaft. ■Racket hosel that supports the head over a wider area. The TRI-BEAM putter's most distinctive feature is its new hosel design. The "beam" in the name refers to the beam that supports the load from above in a building. The TRI-BEAM putter features a triangular hosel, hence the name "racquet hosel." By connecting and supporting the head over a wider area than conventional models, the TRI-BEAM putter is more resistant to head wobble on off-center hits. This can be easily understood by taking a tennis racket as an example. It is said that a racket with a split shaft between the face and grip, rather than a single shaft, results in less twisting of the face even when you miss the sweet spot, making it easier to control the ball. ■ Same weight as a conventional crank hosel. The racket hosel is made with the same weight as a conventional crank hosel to prevent the head's center of gravity from rising. The heel side of the triangle is also vertical and straight, allowing for a natural stance. ■ Sole weight for high moment of inertia and shallow center of gravity. Approximately 15g of weight is placed in the toe and heel areas of the sole, closer to the face, giving the TRI-BEAM putter a high moment of inertia. Not only does this enable a stable stroke, but together with the racket hosel, it also reduces head wobble on off-center hits. Additionally, the low and shallow center of gravity improves ball speed control and makes square impacts easier. ■ The face is equipped with a White Hot insert. The TRI-BEAM putter features Odyssey's iconic White Hot insert. Made from the same material as the ball's cover, it provides excellent compatibility with the ball at impact, delivering soft yet firm rebound performance. With a comfortable feel, impact sound, and consistent launch and roll, the White Hot putter has maintained its reliability and popularity on tour for over 20 years since its introduction. It has accumulated numerous victories around the world and continues to extend its current record.
Triangular neck putters have been huge hits in recent years. Among them, the Odyssey TRI-BEAM TWELVE CS is a model that boasts exceptional stability.
• The large head with a high moment of inertia makes it less prone to wobbling.
- The triangular neck supports the head, making it less prone to wobbling.
And it's incredibly strong against off-center hits!
I tried hitting the ball slightly towards the heel and toe, but it rolled surprisingly straight and consistently. This putter offers exceptional stability and could be a miracle cure for golfers struggling with putting direction.
Actually, I use it too. I recommend it!
