A new definition of speed. The Qi4D Driver was born from TaylorMade's pursuit of greater speed, focusing on distance, a core part of the brand's DNA. The evolved fifth-generation carbon face improves distance and optimizes spin. Furthermore, the evolved head shape reduces air resistance, contributing to even greater head speed. With four models to support the distance of every golfer, and the combination of these with the new REAX shaft, your distance possibilities are endless.
■Unleash your soft speed. Customize your own soft speed for consistent distance. TaylorMade's first titanium-free Driver, the Qi4D MAX, features adjustable features. The body, previously made with titanium, is now made with lightweight, durable military-grade 7075 forged aluminum. This further weight reduction delivers high forgiveness and straightness without sacrificing distance, while also incorporating new adjustable features. The head design, with its reassuring high MOI design, delivers consistent distance.
■Excellent distance performance and high forgiveness. The Qi4D Driver features a new face roll design that slightly rounds the face in the vertical direction. This reduces variations in spin caused by impact point deviations up and down the face, improving trajectory stability. The Carbon Twist Face™ also reduces variations in directional control caused by impact point deviations left and right on the face. Furthermore, when combined with the light and strong 60-layer Carbon Face, the driver achieves a lightweight design that contributes to even greater distance.
■Adjustable features for full control of trajectory. The Qi4D MAX Driver is the first MAX driver to feature an adjustable TAS weight. By changing the position of two weights (13g and 4g) at the front and rear of the head, you can achieve the trajectory you desire. Combined with the Loft Sleeve, which allows you to adjust the loft by ±2° and the lie angle upright by up to 4°, you can fine-tune spin, trajectory, and launch angle.
■The optimal shaft for you. A new shaft selection method developed by collecting and analyzing data from over 11 million shots over the past 20 years. Golfers' swings are classified into three types based on the degree to which the face is open and closed during the swing (face rotation). By selecting the shaft that best suits your swing, you can achieve greater stability and distance. The new "REAX(TM)" shaft was developed in collaboration with Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation. A lineup of top-class shafts to suit any swing type.
Inherited Technology. Qi4D also incorporates TaylorMade's proprietary technology, proven on the Tour for many years. It features technologies that support your performance, such as the "Through-Shaped Speed Pocket" that maintains ball speed and reduces excessive backspin on mishits to the lower part of the face, and the "Multi-Material Construction" that optimizes the club's center of gravity to improve ball speed and stability.
