Are pro model wedges too difficult? There's a wedge for amateurs! The RM-α is a new category of wedge designed for players aiming for a single-shot. ■ Sole shape for amateurs looking to improve. A newly developed sole specifically for the RM-α combines the new universal sole of the DJ-5, designed for ease of use, with the H sole of the RM-4, acclaimed by intermediate and advanced players. A gently sloping bumper on the leading edge helps prevent rough mistakes, and the bounce effect remains consistent whether the face is open or closed, making it easy to hit technical shots. ■ 58° bounce angle options. The 58° sole is available in three different bounce angles: high bounce (H), mid bounce (M), and low bounce (L), all with the same sole shape, to accommodate sand conditions in bunkers, grass conditions around the green, and individual swing angles. The H sole is ideal for those with a deep angle of attack and large turf loads, while the L sole is ideal for those with a gentler angle of attack and less turf loads. ■New reverse taper blade design for improved vertical stability. The back sole connection is narrowed to its limit through the forging process, and the excess weight is efficiently distributed vertically, further improving stability. The new reverse taper blade design delivers stable spin performance even with vertical impact point deviations. ■D-Step blade design for improved lateral stability. The D-Step blade design further evolves the step blade used in the RM-4 Tour Wedge, adding volume to the toe side of the back. This design delivers stable spin performance even with horizontal impact point deviations. ■New high-spin mirror forged face for stable spin performance, even in the rough. The new high-spin mirror forged face further evolves the manufacturing process of the conventional high-spin mirror forged face, pursuing a groove shape that is within the limits of the rules. The revamped TS-114w Ver. 2 delivers consistent spin performance, even in rough conditions or on rainy days. Developed in collaboration with Nippon Shaft Co., Ltd., these wedge-specific shafts offer the perfect balance of ease of swing and ease of use as a wedge, delivering the desired functionality and feel for each club. The 46-54 degree pitching and approach wedge shafts are designed for low lofts, ideal for full-length shots with controlled control. The 56-60 degree sand wedge shafts are designed for high lofts, providing a comfortable feel for both bunker shots and chip shots. Ver. 2 focuses on a feel that makes it easier to place the ball on the face.
