Supervised by professional golfer Shinichi Yokota, the concept is "returning to the basics."
The "Slide Sole Master" is a new concept wedge supervised by professional golfer Shinichi Yokota. At the heart of this wedge is a "return to basics," aiming to restore the inherent operability and swing correction ability that modern golf clubs have lost in their pursuit of excessive functionality.
Yokota Pro's experience and awareness of issues
The development of the Slide Sole Master stemmed from the experience of professional golfer Yokota, who was a master of approach shots and held the Japanese record for 83 consecutive bogey-free holes on tour, but later suffered from approach shot yips.
The pros analyzed that the cause of the yips lies in a vicious cycle where "fear of hitting the ground behind the ball leads to placing the ball too far to the right, preventing a proper club release." They concluded that the fundamental trigger for this is the "bounce" that is standard on modern wedges. The fear of the bounce hitting the ground ultimately distorts the entire swing.
This experience led to the realization that "modern club heads, in the name of pursuing ease of use, are being overly intrusive and robbing golfers of their natural swing."

By removing the "unnecessary feature" of bounce, the aim is to allow golfers to regain their ability to control the club with their own feel, and to "restore their corrupted swing."

2) Loft angle of 53°

3) A scoreline that utilizes visual magic
The scorelines (grooves) are designed with visual features to encourage the correct swing path.
●Design: The grooves are angled slightly to the right. This creates the illusion that the entire face is slightly angled to the right when you address the ball.
●Effect: Humans unconsciously try to impact the target squarely, so this visual illusion induces the correct swing motion of bringing the club down from the inside and moving it counterclockwise (towards closing the clubface).
●Note: The leading edge is nearly straight (with a slight hook), designed to avoid making it difficult to set up.
4) Special milling that prevents slipping even when opened
The milling applied to the entire face is engraved in a specific direction.
●Design: The milling direction is designed so that the ball grips the groove firmly when the face is opened or when hitting a cut shot.
●Effect: The absence of bounce increases the number of situations where the face is opened wide, but this milling suppresses slippage without compromising spin performance.
5) Extremely shallow center of gravity design
Due to its thin, butter-knife-like shape, the center of gravity is extremely close to the face, resulting in a "shallow center of gravity."
●Effect 1: Direct operability: There is no "vague" feeling that can occur when the center of gravity is deep, and the golfer's intentions are directly transmitted to the club head.
●Effect 2: "Prevents falling on the backside": The "falling on the backside" phenomenon, where the back of the club head drops down at impact, is less likely to occur, and the sole glides through the ground smoothly.

6) Highest level of short center of gravity distance
The center of gravity distance of the club head is 26mm, which is about 9mm shorter than that of a typical wedge (35mm).
●Design: Achieved through a square head shape with the heel and toe at the same height, and a slightly longer neck design.
●Effect: The shorter center of gravity distance reduces the resistance to the clubface opening during the downswing. This allows the clubhead to move straight forward without wobbling. As a result, chunking and topping errors are significantly reduced.
7) Head shape that enables multi-functionality
The absence of bounce and the protruding leading edge allow this single club to handle a variety of shots.
●Effect: Because the face can be opened freely, it functions as a "multi-wedge" that can cover the role of a lob wedge, with a 53° lob when set square, a 56° lob when slightly opened, and a 60° lob when fully opened.
