Callaway
In 1982, Eli Reeves Callaway acquired Hickory Stick USA and renamed the company Callaway Hickory Stick USA. In 1991, the company released the BIG BERTHA Driver. The name "BIG BERTHA" comes from the long-range cannon developed by the German army during World War I, and Eli Reeves Callaway introduced it to the world as Driver that could hit the ball far and accurately. The BIG BERTHA Driver propelled Callaway Golf to the forefront of global golf equipment.
Callaway Golf Co., Ltd. was established in Japan in 2000. In 2002, the company released the BIG BERTHA C4, a cutting-edge full-carbon Driver. In 2008, the first Japanese brand, LEGACY, was born. It inherited the technology and performance Callaway Golf has cultivated over 25 years and was developed to enable Japanese golfers to perform at their best. 2022 will mark the company's 40th anniversary, and the company continues to create innovative clubs equipped with new technology.
